History of Aeronautical Engineering Specialization:

However, many of them were able to fly with little potential. Officially, the Wright brothers were the first to fly a self-propelled aircraft on 17 December 1903, and their aircraft was named Wright Flyer.

The first definition of aerospace engineering was received in February 1958. The definition looked at the Earth's atmosphere and outer space as one, bringing together both aircraft (air) and spacecraft (space) under the newly formulated word aerospace science.
