What is the specialty of engineering management:
A programme focused on the application of engineering principles to the planning and operational management of industrial and manufacturing operations, and equipped personnel to plan and manage such operations. Includes instructions in accounting, engineering economy, financial management, industrial and human resource management, industrial psychology, management information systems, mathematical modelling, improvement, quality control, operations research, safety and health issues and environmental programme management.

History of engineering management specialization:
The Stevens Institute of Technology is believed to own the oldest Department of Engineering Management, founded as the School of Business Engineering in 1908. He was named in the post-Bachelor of Engineering program in Engineering Management and moved to the School of Systems and Institutions. Syracuse University created the first undergraduate degree in engineering management in the United States, first introduced in 1957. In 1967, the first university department with the explicit title "Engineering Management" was created at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S & T, formerly the University of Missouri Roula, and earlier the Missouri School of Mines). In 1959, Western Michigan University began offering an earlier bachelor's degree in modern engineering management (entitled "Industrial Supervision"), and in 1977, the university began granting a master's degree in manufacturing management, which was later renamed Engineering Management.
Outside the United States, specifically in Germany, the first department focused on engineering management was founded in 1927 in Berlin. In Turkey, Istanbul Technical University has the Department of Management Engineering, founded in 1982, which offers a number of graduate and undergraduate programmes in management engineering. (Formerly known as Work Industrial Group), founded in 1980, offers a graduate program in MBA Engineering.
Michigan Technical University began an engineering management program at the School of Business and Economics in the fall of 2012.
In Canada, Memorial University in Newfoundland has started a full master's degree program in engineering management.
In Denmark, the Art University of Denmark offers a Master's Program in Engineering Management (in English).
In Pakistan, the University of Engineering and Technology in Taxila, the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, and the National University of Science and Technology offer admission to both master's and doctoral degrees in Engineering Management, while the Metropolitan University of Science and Technology, Ned University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi Institute and Ghulam Ishaq khan Engineering h Technology Science. There is an alternative to this program within quality management. The Comestus Information Technology Institute (IT) offers an MBA programme to both local and overseas Pakistani students on and off campus.
In Italy, the Polytechnic University of Milan offers degrees in administrative engineering, among many other state or private universities (and accredited by the government) that belong to the same classification as tertiary degrees.
In Russia, since 2014, the Faculty of Engineering Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economics and Public Administration offers bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering management.
In France, the Polytechnic Women's School (IBF), starting in January 2018, specializes in English for two years in the fourth and fifth years of its five-year master's degree in engineering. The last two years are open to students who have completed an undergraduate engineering degree elsewhere.
