Overview of Kyrenia University
Kyrenia University is the only university specializing in marine sciences and one of the strongest universities in Northern Cyprus. It was established with educational and professional experience gained from its founder, Near East University, which ranks second among Turkish universities and 30th globally. The university offers curricula and programs that have been developed based on extensive scientific knowledge and meet global quality standards in education.
Kyrenia University has received accreditation from the Turkish Ministry of Higher Education and many local and international accreditations for its academic programs, thanks to its unique and high-level scientific value.

Establishment of Kyrenia University
Kyrenia University was founded in 2013 in the city of Kyrenia, located in Northern Cyprus, by Near East University, which has more than 35 years of experience in marine sciences.

Kyrenia University conducts its scientific research at two rare centers in Northern Cyprus: the Maritime History Research Center and the Biosphere Research Center, as well as 3 laboratories equipped with the latest devices and equipment.

Student personalities are developed, and their interests are enhanced through cultural and recreational activities held on campus by 13 student clubs, each focusing on a specific field.
