University history:

The European University of Lefka, which was officially established by the Cyprus Science Foundation, started its academic activities in 1990 as a state (state) institution university. The university and all its departments have been accredited by the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Turkey since the first day of its establishment.

academic year:

The academic year is divided into three semesters:

Autumn semester and its duration (16 weeks): From mid-September to mid-January.

Spring term (16 weeks): From mid-February to mid-June.
The summer semester (which is optional only for the student accepted for the fall semester and compulsory for the student accepted for the spring semester) and its duration (6 weeks): From the last week of June to mid-August.

Transportation:

Transportation for students inside the city is provided free of charge, for university students, through university buses that revolve around the city.

The campus in Lefka is located on a hill in one of the richest natural corners of the island, overlooking the local landscape with a perfect view of the blue waters of the Mediterranean. With a very calm sea setting, it provides students with an ideal environment to pursue their academic studies.
