An introduction to Düzce University:

Duzce University was established in the city of Doce, northwestern Turkey. The university was established in 1976 affiliated with Istanbul Technical University. The university has witnessed development in recent years by adding 6 new colleges and 7 vocational schools, and it has 1,400 faculty and staff.

The university joined the National Quality Movement in 2008, and won the European Foundation Award for Research, Development and Training. It became a member of the European Universities Association.

University history:

The foundations of Düzce University go back to Düzce Vocational School which was an academic branch of Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Engineering in Sakarya.

In 1992, with the establishment of Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University in Bolu, Düzce University entered a new stage on its way to becoming a university, apart from the Düzce Vocational School, the establishment of the Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Technical Education, Faculty of Medicine, School of Health Sciences and Akçakoca School of Tourism were linked. and Hotel Management and Akçakoca Vocational School at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University that in the future will accelerate the development of the university in Düzce. Then, by the law of March 17, 2006 and No. 26111 in the Official Gazette with the code number 5467, schools and colleges in Duzce were divided from Abant Izzet Baysal University and their academic and teaching studies at Duzce University began with the “generating value” principle motto.

While in the first years of its establishment there were 3 faculties and 5700 students. Today the University of Düzce has more than 30 thousand students, 12 faculties, one institute, two schools, 10 vocational schools and more than 30 research centers, and the Technopark and the Research and Application Hospital is a preferred, prestigious and distinguished institution.

Since its establishment on March 17, 2006 until today in light of the motto of Generated Values. Through scientific research, value-added projects and activities, with regional development from plowing to flat tree, Düzce University with its pioneering, auditing and transparent management culture continues its activities with merit and success.
