Introduction by the University of Sabanci University:

The Sabanci University was founded in 1996, after the Sabanji Foundation held a research conference in which 50 academics from 22 countries, as well as students and representatives from the private sector, participated, identifying the working mechanism of the leading educational institutions ian Turkey and around the world and identifying the fundamentals that they had succeeded in achieving. Sabanci University was the product of this conference, where in 1994 the Sabanji Foundation decided to establish the University as a "global university" in the heart of Istanbul.

Studying the academic and working systems of the world's best educational institutions, Sabanci University was designed as a new and unique university. Since 1999, when students began enrolling, the university itself has modeled for many universities.

The University has 3 faculties, 11 bachelor's programmes, 50 master's programmes and 17 doctoral programmes.

Campus:

The campus of Sabanci University is located in Tuzla district on the Asian side of Istanbul.

The university has a 900-capacity main dining hall at the University Center. It also provides many service buildings on campus that offer various foods and beverages belonging to well-known brands.
