An introduction to the University of Bozok:

Bozok University was established on March 1, 2006 in Yozgat, Turkey. The campus includes 14 faculties, 8 institutes, 4 schools, a university research hospital and 7 research centers. It has about 600 faculty members and 450 administrative and technical staff.

University history:

Yozgat Bozok University was established on 01/03/2006 by the decision of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette on 03/17/2006, No. 5467. Our University. Although it was established independently in 2006, its infrastructure goes back to before that. Yozgat Vocational School, which was established in Yozgat in 1982 under the supervision of Erciyes University and another Vocational School affiliated with Gazi University in 1989, forms the basis of our university. These two vocational schools were merged in 1994 and are affiliated with Erciyes University. The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and the Faculty of Agriculture were established in 1992, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 1994, and the Faculty of Health in 1996, all of which are affiliated with Erciyes University. Akdaghmadini Vocational School was established in 1997 affiliated with Kumhuriyet University. The faculties and schools of the two Erciyes University were affiliated with the University of Bozok and obtained an independent structure in 2006.

Our university is located in Erdogan Akdag East Campus and Bilal Sahin West Campus in an area of ​​4.100 dinars in Yozgat Ataturk Yolu, the central region of the city. In addition to the main campus, our university has a protocol building, a dental building, and facilities in Esentepe County in the center of Yozgat. Outside the center, it continues its teaching and research activities on an area of ​​7632 Dikara with its universities in the regions of Sorgon, Akdagmadeni, Yerkoy, Bogazlyan, Şevlı, Çekerek, and Sarikaya.

Our university, which has completed its establishment phase and continues to develop, carries out its educational activities through 14 faculties, 4 schools, 8 vocational schools, 2 institutes, a research and applications hospital, 15 applications and research centers, a technopark office, a technology transfer office and 4 departments of the administration per year. school year 2021-2022.

Since the establishment of our university in 2006, it has also developed greatly in terms of human resources. It continues its activities with nearly 1,000 academic staff and more than 1,000 administrative and support services personnel. The number of students studying increased by 400% and exceeded 20,000 students in the 14 years.

Our university was selected among the “Specialized Universities” in 2020, and its project entitled “For Sustainable Biomaterials and Bioenergy: Industrial Structure” was within the scope of the “Project Differentiation and Specialization in Missions Oriented to Regional Development” implemented by the Higher Education Council.
