An introductory profile about the university
Amman Arab University was established in 1997 by Higher Education Council Resolution No. (1476) dated 11/24/1997, as a private, non-profit university specialized in higher university studies, under the name of “Amman Arab University for Postgraduate Studies”; To be the first Jordanian university specialized in postgraduate master's and doctoral programs; On September 30, 1998, the Council of Higher Education granted approval to the university to start teaching in its decision No. (1625), as the university received the first cohort of its students since the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 1999/2000.

The university’s march passed in two phases. The first: was limited to postgraduate programs, and the second: began in 2009 when the university’s march was strengthened by opening undergraduate programs, and the name of the university was changed to become “Amman Arab University.”
Since the beginning of the establishment of the university and those in charge of it, they have been doing their best to make the university an effective partner in the effort exerted at the national and regional level in enhancing the quality of education, and securing an environment that develops the student’s thought to be an active and creative element that benefits the community, in addition to being an attractive environment for students from neighboring and foreign countries. .


 

The university promotes pluralism, civilized thinking, cultural interaction, acceptance of the other, and rejection of all kinds of intolerance and violence. Especially since the university, since its establishment, has provided the local and regional community with highly qualified graduates, who were taught and sponsored by qualified and distinguished faculty members who hold postgraduate degrees from various universities, local, regional and international. The university currently consists of nine colleges:

    The university is located on Jordan Street in the Mobus area, 12 km north of the capital, Amman. The university campus, to which the university moved since the beginning of the academic year 2013/2014, is located in an area overlooking the capital Amman, the Balqa Governorate, and the Baqa’a Basin, and close to the Jerash Governorate.

    The university campus and facilities are constantly growing to achieve the highest quality standards, and are working to increase the number of majors to serve the needs of the labor market and meet its needs. The area of ​​the existing buildings now exceeds 15,000 square meters, in addition to more than 5,000 square meters of squares, green spaces and playgrounds.
