Applied Science Private University - ASU (All Arabs University) is located in Shafaa Badran, inside Great Amman City Municipality, on an area of 356,000 M². The University is a subsidiary of Arab International Company for Education and Investment.

ASU started its academic journey on 19/10/1991, after obtaining the license permit on 10/7/1989, when the number of enrolled students at the time was 553, as it started with three faculties: Art, Science and Economic, and it included 13 specialty (Major).

ASU obtained Quality Management System certificate (ISO 9001:2000) from “Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance" company since 2003 as the first university to procure such certificate in the Middle East. Moreover, upon the issuance of the new international specifications (standards) (ISO 9001:2008), the university was granted the new specifications since 2010 after the university has fulfilled the requirement of this standards specifications. On 2018, (ISO 9001:2008) certificate was upgraded and the university was awarded (ISO 9001:2015) certificate as the last version of quality management system specifications.

ASU is distinguished of being a pioneer in the field of higher education and quality, as the university management adopted the philosophy of quality and excellence: “Continuous Improvement is our Way to Excellence", as it was the first university in Jordan to obtain Quality Assurance certificate in education, scientific research and community service “Golden Level" issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions, and it's the first private university to obtain (4) stars in the QS international rating, which is concerned with education, scientific research, faculty members efficiency and alumni employability rate. In 2022 in the last assessment conducted by QS, the university scored the highest classification (5) stars in all of the rating domains. Additionally, the faculty of Pharmacy was the first faculty in Jordan to be awarded the quality assurance certificate in education “Golden Level" issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions, moreover, the faculty of Information Technology, the faculty of Engineering, the faculty of Nursing, the faculty of Arts and Design and the faculty of business obtained the quality assurance certificate in education “Silver Level". Additionally, the faculty of Arts and Science got quality assurance certificate in education “Bronze Level" also the faculty of Law was also awarded the quality assurance certificate in education issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions. In addition to that, American Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) has accredited all the five engineering programs that were subject for assessment by (ABET), hence, it is the first engineering faculty amongst private universities to obtain the international American accreditation (ABET). Moreover, (ABET) has accredited Computer Science program which was subject for assessment, thus the faculty of Information Technology is the first faculty between the Jordanian private universities to obtain the international American accreditation.
At present, the university includes 10 academic faculties: Faculty of Pharmacy, faculty of Art and Science, faculty of Law, faculty of Engineering and Technology, faculty of Arts and Design, faculty of Information Technology, faculty of Nursing, faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies and faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, it also includes deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies and the Deanship of Students Affairs. The number of majors that are offered by these faculties are (35) undergraduate level and (9) graduate level namely: Master in Accounting, Master in Marketing, Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Master in Computer Science, Master in Nursing, Master in Finance and Risk Management, Master in  Audio visual and Mass Media Translation, Master in Cyber Laws and Master ​in Intelligent Systems in Industrial Engineering, and one High Diploma in Education. At present, there are (6583) male and female students that are enrolled in the university representing almost (50) nationalities from Arab, Islamic and Foreign Countries (1610 male and female student). The university also provides to its students and to the local community training courses offered by Consultation and Training Center in coordination with distinguished training centers with esteemed international accreditations that connect theory with practice.
The number of faculty members for the academic year 2021-2022 is (227) of different ranks, including (25 Full Professor, 60 Associate Professor, 95 Assistant Professor, 47 with a master's degree). While the number of ASU scholarships reached (137) who are on scholarship to get Ph.D. from prestigious universities in USA, Canada, UK, Australian and other esteemed universities. The number of published and funded researches in the SCOPUS and ISI databases reached 269, with a fund value JOD 888,186.
The total area of the university buildings (117,600) M² divided into 10 academic faculties, presidency building and students` registration, library building which contain more than 134 thousand scientific materials and books, a large percentage of it are recent version of scientific books in English, in addition to students' affairs deanship (Activities Complex), Animals building, hazardous materials warehouse, Olympic soccer stadium which can accommodate up to (15) thousand, where tournaments and national celebrations are held therein, in-door athletes hall (Al-Hussein Hall), which can accommodate 7,000 person on a moving stands. Moreover, there are a number of sales point for students that are scattered all over the university faculties and its facilities. Also, there are a number of open playgrounds to exercise tennis, football and basketball, in addition to the activities available inside the activities complex such as: bowling, billiard, self-defense sports, body buildings, sauna and steam.
Due to this expansion, the university has provided its scientific labs., workshops and studios (atelier) whose number is more than (84) lab, workshop and studio (atelier). Other facilities that are available inside the campus; Mosque, Arab bank branch, ATM machines, postal office, a library for selling stationary and books. In 2017, the university inaugurated students' activity center within the international standards which contain a number of activities; in addition to a number of restaurants, digital press, sports halls, centers for selling books and stationery. The university is connected with a transportation network with different areas in the capital and other Jordanian main cities. It owns a fleet of buses and vehicles, it number reaches 60 vehicles that serve the students and employees. The university has graduated (27) cohort tell the end of the academic year 2020/2021, as its graduate number reached 38,734 male and female students from different faculties and majors.
During the period 2021-2022 the university accomplished a number of distinguished achievements for example but not limited to: achieving 5 stars in online learnings, and it's the first private university in the Arab world to score “5 stars" in 5 fields: Teaching, Employability, Internationalization, Facilities and Inclusiveness as per QS international rating. Also, as per the overall ranking of THE Impact Ranking -2021 it stands within 401-600 position, it also got the 101+ position as per the Times international ranking for Arabian universities (The ARAB University ARAB Ranking: 2021). In April 2022, the university got the best level of accreditation (Premier Institution) issued by the British Accreditation – ASIC.​

The university adopted an integrated chain of quality and excellence incarnated in the university achievement of the below accreditations and certificates:
1- The first private university to obtain quality assurance certificate “Golden level" which is the highest certificate granted by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions as per 2015 quality assurance standards. Thus, it's the first national university to get this certificate as per the new quality standards in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

2- International ISO certificate (Transmission certificate to ISO 9001:2015), knowing that, the university was awarded ISO 9001 for the first time in 2003, as the first university to obtain such certificate in the Middle East.

3- Applied Science Private University was awarded 5 stars by "QS Stars Rating", as it obtained 5 stars in all of the evaluation criteria: Education, Employment, Inclusiveness, Internationalization, Facilities, Online Learning, Community Service and academic Development and in Pharmacy major. Thus, it's the first private university to achieve this in Jordan.

4- Faculty of Pharmacy got American Accreditation Certificate ACPE, so Applied Science Private University is the first private university in Jordan and the second private university in the Arab world to get this accreditation.

5- Faculty of Information Technology obtained quality assurance certificate “Silver Level" issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions as per quality assurance standards 2015, thus it's the first faculty of information technology achieved this certificate in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

6- Faculty of Pharmacy obtained quality assurance certificate “Golden Level" issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions as per quality assurance standards 2015, thus it's the first faculty of pharmacy achieved this certificate in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
7- Faculty of Engineering and the faculty of Nursing also obtained quality assurance certificate “Silver Level" issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions as per quality assurance standards 2015.

8- Faculty of Arts and Design also obtained quality assurance certificate “Bronze Level" issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions as per quality assurance standards 2015. Thus, it's the first faculty of Arts and Design achieved this certificate in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

9- Faculty of Business also obtained quality assurance certificate “Silver Level" issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions as per quality assurance standards 2015.
10- Faculty of Art and Science also obtained quality assurance certificate “Silver Level" issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions as per quality assurance standards 2015. 

11- Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. – ABET has accredited all five Engineering programs. Hence, it's the first Engineering faculty amongst all Jordanian private universities that got the international American accreditation.

12- Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. – ABET has accredited computer science program. Hence, it's the first Information Technology faculty amongst all Jordanian private universities that obtained the International American accreditation.

13- Obtained the reward as the best university in its strategy toward internationalization at the Middle East Level by British Capital Finance International – CFI Co.  

14- The first business school to get the international accreditation IIMP for Bachelor and Master programs in marketing at the level of Jordan and the Middle east.

15- Faculty of law achieved the French international accreditation HCÉRES, thus it's the first law college in Jordan to get this accreditation.

16- Faculty of law also obtained quality assurance certificate issued by Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions as per quality assurance standards 2015.

17- One of the leading universities in the Middle east to be a founding member in the MIC alliance that is led by MIT American University (The first university all over the word.

18- Faculty of Business one of the first faculties to get the eligibility in AACSB international Accreditation.

19- First university in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to obtain the American Accreditation – ACEN for the faculty of Nursing. 

20- The university scored the first position (In-Sharing) among Jordanian private universities in The ARAB University Rankings: 2021, also it achieved +101 position in the same ranking.

21- The university scored 5 stars in E-learning as per the international QS rating, it also achieved 5 stars in all standards related to QS rating for the academic year 2021.

22- The university and as per the overall THE Impact Ranking a ranking based on Universities Impact, has achieved the first position at the Kingdom level in three criteria: equality, consumption and production and piece equality and strong institutions.

23- On April 2022, the university got the British Accreditation – ASIC, as it scored the best level - Premier Institutions, also the British Accreditation Commission – ASIC awarded the university “Excellent Achievement in the Development of University Education at the International Level in Jordan", as the first private university to get this award.
