Introduction by the University of  Alexandria:

The University of Alexandria is one of the largest universities in Egypt. It is the second university established in Egypt. It has more than 23 colleges and institutes teaching various types of social, medical, engineering, sports and other sciences.

history of the University of Alexandria:

Consideration began to be given to establishing a branch of the University of Fouad I in Alexandria as an extension of the University and the nucleus of an independent university. Based on that, the Council of the University of Fouad I approved the establishment of the branch at its session on 4 August 1934. The Faculty of Engineering was established in 1641. Royal Decree No. 32 establishing Farouk I University of Alexandria was issued on 2 August 1942. The decree provided that the University should include the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Commerce,Other colleges and institutes may subsequently be established by law. In the year of its establishment, the University had one thousand, one hundred and seventy-one students, including one thousand, one hundred, thirty-three and thirty-eight students.

The new Faculty of Law was taken from the building of the Abbasid Secondary School, Muharram Bek. In August 1942, the Faculty of Agriculture was established in the city of Damanhur. In 1945, the Museum of the Faculty of Arts was established, as well as the Dental School as one of the departments of the Faculty of Medicine. The liturgy at the beach is shared with the College of Agriculture and the Public Library. In 1947, the College of Agriculture moved to Alexandria. Since that day, it is in its present place. In 1952, with the July 23 Revolution, the university was renamed the University. The University of Alexandria, in 1954 the Higher Institute of Nursing was established under the supervision of the Faculty of Medicine, in 1955 the Institute of Sports Education was established in Babi Qir, in 1957 the Faculty of Arts, in 1972 the University of Alexandria established the Centre for Graduate Studies and Research, in conjunction with UNESCO and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in 1975 the Faculty of Veterof Veterin the City of Ad, and in 1980

In 1983, the Institute of Higher Studies and Research was established. In 1988, the Faculty of Quality Education was established. In 1989, the branches of the colleges of Halwan University in Alexandria were transformed into the University, which is sports education for boys.
