The visual arts major mainly focuses on art forms such as drawing, sculpture, handicrafts, printing and photography. Art produced by digital means is considered visual art, such as animation and films, but does not include art forms such as music.
Graphic design is a branch of science that studies design and aims to deliver a message to a specific audience through visual design and through products such as: logos, billboards, packaging design, magazines, books, and others. ... In our department there are also workshops for screen printing, in addition to workshops for sculpting and design
History of the Visual Arts major:
In the past, the visual arts were known only as fine arts, such as: drawing, photography, sculpture and architecture; Applied arts and artistic craft skills such as: ceramics, knitting, carpentry, jewelry design, and fashion were excluded. They were not considered arts until the outbreak of the historical (Arts and Crafts movement) in Britain at the end of the 19th and early 20th century, which aimed to combine fine arts and applied arts.
