What is the specialty of Turkish language teaching specialization:

Turkish language education is a four-year specialization. The goal of our department, as it is understood from its name, is to raise capable teachers, and therefore there are certain lessons that we enter from the beginning of the study until graduation. In general, there are compulsory lessons, profession-related lessons, education and general education lessons, and optional and practical lessons.

History of the Turkish language teaching specialization:

Since its foundation in the 1994-1995 academic year, the Turkish Language and Literature Department aims to teach the development process of Turkish language and literature in every detail throughout its history, analyzing Turkish culture according to Atatürk’s saying “Culture is the essence of the Republic of Turkey.” Educational programs have been implemented to provide our undergraduate students with all the required linguistic and craft knowledge in order to contribute to being specialists in the teaching of Turkish language, Turkish literature and culture. We also offer broad-based pedagogical training courses to contribute to being successful teachers of Turkish language and literature.
