Phonetics, articulation, or phonology is one of the branches of linguistics, concerned with the vocal apparatus, the outputs of the sounds of human speech, and their classification. ... Phonetics is a branch of linguistics that focuses on the study of speech sounds and how sounds are produced in addition to their classification, knowing that the process of speech and sound production arises through the interaction of a group of body organs, starting from the lips, tongue, teeth and ending with

Larynx and vocal cords.

History of Phonetics specialization:

The study of phonemes began in the fifth century BC in ancient India by the linguist Panini, who researched the place and method of sound production (how) in the Sanskrit language. Among the oldest of those interested in this science was Al-Khalil bin Ahmad Al-Farahidi, who died at the end of the eighth century AD, among his students was Sibawayh, who wrote his book “The Book”, which contains an accurate description of the sounds of the Arabic language and the place of articulation for each of them and the manner in which they are produced.

Importance of studying phonetics specialization:

This specialization is classified as scientific because it is the construction of language, how to form linguistic structures, vocabulary and words, in addition to recognizing the sounds in each word, and studying the method and nature of its pronunciation. ... What distinguishes linguistics from other sciences, the goals it seeks to achieve, perhaps the most prominent of which is to distinguish languages from each other.
