The University of Medical Sciences and Technology (UMST), also known as Mamoon Hamida University, is a private Sudanese university founded in 1996 as the Academy of Medical Sciences and Technology.

UMST started a private not-for-profit educational academy in Khartoum, Sudan, in 1996. UMST was created by Professor Mamoun Hamida, former Vice Rector of the University of Khartoum (and later Minister of Health of Khartoum State of Khartoum). Hamida also appointed several faculty members from Khartoum University. Since then, the Academy has expanded to 14 university colleges, namely Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiology, Anesthesia, Nursing Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics, Social and Environmental Studies, Mass Communication, and Law. It also has a College of Nursing Technology and offers 14 master's degree programmes, four doctoral programmes and four postgraduate diplomas. It became a full-fledged university in 2007. For the year 2016-2017, from US $1,500 (nursing diploma) to US $1,500 (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery). Local and international Sudanese students pay the same fees.
